In holding the Public Hearings and Teach-Ins, Marvin Winstead, an impacted landowner in Nash County and leader in “Nash County Stop the Pipeline” stated:
“FERC is not following our North Carolina standards for a full airing of public response and input on this important decision that impacts all the citizens of our state and nation. Our citizens along the proposed route in Eastern NC and across our State do not know of the dangers of methane gas and the proposed pipeline to our land, air, water, property taxes, and way of life. The proposed pipeline will also make our state and nation more dependent on the overall, worst form of fossil fuel at a time when we need to cut back on its use.”
How will you be impacted by the pipeline? What are your concerns? Let us know!
